The Historic Poorhouse was the only poorhouse left standing when Andrea and Steve purchased the county Poorfarm in 2004. The house was lovingly restored it in 2019, modifying the floor plan to include a bathroom, kitchen, beamed ceilings, a large sleeping loft, and walls of windows. The Poorhouse includes one large bedroom with a king bed, great room with kitchenette, bathroom, slate and wood floors, and two original, restored stone fireplaces. The loft with a full bed and sitting/game area opens into the great room.

The Historic Poorhouse

The 1860s Historic Poorhouse is the perfect blend of old and new. Restored top to bottom in 2019, on the main level the house features a large master bedroom, great room with high, beamed ceilings and kitchenette, and a bath with shower. Stone fireplaces grace the bedroom and great room, and walls of windows bring the beauty of the outdoors inside. Upstairs a large sleeping loft and sitting/game area opens into the great room below.
